Looking for a powered nail filer for dogs?

i saw somewhere a small nail grinder/smoother for dogs and cannot remember where now.

helps to take off the sharp edge after the nails are clipped and good for the dog that hates to have his nails clipped.

does anyone know where i could find one?

Don't buy the Dremel that is in the pet catalogs. The one at the hardware store is cheaper and better. There are a lot of websites that tell you how to Dremel the dogs nails. I love it and would never use anything else.

Contrary to what the first poster has said (she clearly has no experience at ALL)..the Dermel is easy to use and the dogs DO NOT mind it. I use it on 10 week old puppies and it is very easy.

Use caution on dogs with hairy feet......the best thing is to place the dogs foot in a nylon stocking with the nails sticking through. Otherwise, you risk pulling a LOT of hair out!!Looking for a powered nail filer for dogs?
I use a Dremel to grind down my dogs' nails instead of a nail clipper...they preferred it.

A nail filer is going to make noise that will scare the dog more than the clipping device.
A Dremel tool can be found in pet catalogs and hardware stores.
